Station House

Our History.

Station House Nursery is based within the historic Grade II Listed Station House at Burscough Bridge. The original station opened on the 9th of April 1855. It was built by the Manchester and Southport Railway which became part of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway in January 1885.

Station House Nursery School took ownership of the Old Station House in early 2022. After a full restoration, whilst still maintaining the core of the historic building’s values, the Nursery School opened in early 2023.

Gezz
Nursery Manager

Hi, my name is Gezz, I am the nursery manager at Station House Nursery School.

I hold an NVQ level 3 in childcare and education and have both Safeguarding and paediatric first aid training. I have worked in the childcare sector for over 20 years and have worked with all ages, both as a practitioner and room leader, before working as a deputy manager for 9 years.

I love working with children and watching them develop and grow into the best versions of themselves and take pride in helping them achieve their goals.  Within my role of manger, I also look forward to helping my staff team build in confidence within their own roles and offer them progression when and where I can.

I have experience working with SEN children and hope to progress my own knowledge and understanding in this area within the near future.

I also have 4 children of my own so have lots of personal experience with parenthood which I find can be helpful when understanding other parents’ concerns or queries when choosing a nursery setting.

I look forward to helping your little ones grow!
